Shopify

Connect Shopify without scaling inventory chaos.

StoreStory connects Shopify not just as a product import, but as a true operations connection: with webhook signatures, inventory management, fingerprint logic, and Shopify-specific outbound for inventory and orders.

How the connection works

In the connection setup, shop URL, Admin API Access Token, optional API Key, Secret Key, and location context are stored. After that, StoreStory can receive Shopify events and specifically push out Shopify-relevant inventory changes.

The operational value

Shopify remains cleanly integrated into the channel while the app can decide whether it leads itself or only supplies Shopify for certain movements. This reduces duplicate inventory decisions.

Why this is powerful

Shopify is today the strongest outbound path in the system. Fingerprint comparisons prevent unnecessary API load and make inventory updates more economical and reliable.

Who this is for

For D2C brands, multi-channel retailers, and teams that don't want to operate Shopify in isolation, but as part of a manageable inventory, bundle, and fulfillment architecture.
